Awwwww - great way to start the day!

When I came downstairs this morning and passed Pop Up in the family room, he started cheering:

"Mommy! Mommyyyy! Mommyyyyyyy! Mommyyyyyyyyyyy!" (go team!)

So I made a detour and gave him a kiss. At which point he said:

"I'm just excited to see you. My inner cuteness accidently came out."

Awwww. It'll probably all head south when we move on to the schoolroom, but at least it was a nice way to start the day! He CAN be so dagonne sweet when he wants to! :-)

Pop Up doesn't love the choices

Love thing again. I know. It's getting pretty old. Have I mentioned I'm OCD'ish? Everyone says I should watch Monk. Mmmm, maybe not everyone. A few people. Mainly my (poor) RV! Luckily, he's patient, kind, not-easily-angered and all those other 1 Corinthian 13 things. I'm afraid to watch it. Might give me some ideas. On the bright side - there's only 35 minutes left until 2/15.

On the way to our afternoon errands today, we had this conversation:

Pop Up (age 9): "Mom, who are you going to vote for in the Presidential election?"
5th Wheel: "Oh, I don't know, honey."
Pop Up: in a disgusted tone, "Yeah, there sure are a lot of bad choices this time."

No tail to wag

The boys just looked outside and saw about a dozen snowflakes falling. They were jumping for joy like it was Christmas morning. DS2 said "Whoo hoo! If I had a tail, it would be wagging right now! Just like Solomon (our dog)!" Poor dear ... I didn't have the heart to tell him we probably won't even get enough to coat his tongue.

Meanwhile, my dad (in Maine) can't catch a break. He's practically shoveling night and day. His cumulative snowfall must be at least 100" so far this season.

Just another one of life's little cruelties.

Guess we'll have to head to the slopes again later this month if we want to catch a glimpse of some white fluffy stuff! Fluffy or packed ~ we'll take it! We just want snow!!!!
