A much better week!

Yeay!!!!! This has been a much better week than last! I am starting to think I might actually live! Thank you all for your continued prayers. Still having a few minor issues, but hoping the doctor gives the go-ahead at my follow-up appt. on 7/1 - for me to go on the trip to Canada!

I'm optimistic, so trying to start tackling my very, very long "to do" list. Need to get the dog's vaccination report to take with us. Need to pick up our camper. It's been in the shop for a month and they haven't touched it. Grrrrr! Need to do a million-and-one other things.

Need to get a new camera. Would like to get a step up from our old point & shoot that I dropped & ruined during our last trip to Disney. Have $160 Costco rebate check burning a hole in my pocket, so am willing to spend a total of $300-500 (months ago I already budgeted $300 for the splurge of a new camera).

I'd like something with a faster shutter speed ~ cuz I always miss the good shots at the kids sporting events, something able to take night pictures, and of course, I want great photos of people & scenery.

Has anyone done any research and if so, willing to share their findings with me? Fast. I'm currently considering the Nikon D40 and a Canon Rebel XT. But it doesn't have to be one of those. Advice? Anyone?!
